I recorded this interview with Lucky Starr at the Erotica LA show in Los Angeles this past June. Lucky is a relatively new "Asian Porno Hottie" who came on the scene in April of 2009. She's a little bit older than many newbies and brings a rich work experience in performing arts to the table. This is an ultra rare interview with Asian porn star Kiwi Ling. It was recorded at the very first Blue Syren Erotica LA Erotica Dinner held in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles.

Kiwi started in the adult industry in 2003 at the age of 20 and is still actively performing today. To date, she has appeared in about forty DVD titles plus a number of scenes for adult websites, including some fetish content.

I recorded this encore interview with porn veteran Katja Kassin this past weekend on March 21, 2009 at Gold Club Centerfolds where she was appearing as a feature dancer again. The club is located in Rancho Cordova near Sacramento.

In this interview Katja updates listeners on her life since the last interview in the fall of 2007. She also talks about recent issues of the day including how the bad economy has affected her adult entertainment career, the importance of investments, Max Hardcore's recent obscenity conviction and even her thoughts on "Octomom".

Jim Powers Interview (January 2008)

This is an interview with veteran porn director (and shooter) Jim Powers. It was recorded on January 11, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Adult Entertainment Expo.

Jim directed his first adult movie over sixteen years ago. Since then, he is credited with 757 titles according to IAFD, but the real number is likely substantially higher. This works out to 47+ movies a year, or nearly one a week continuously for nearly two decades straight.

Practically all Jim's work is hard gonzo, but not without a sense of humor and often more attention is given to a plot than one might expect. As Jim discusses in the interview, he strives to create unique, memorable scenes that will still please even the most jaded raincoater. Some of his popular series' over the years have included American Bukkake, The Babysitter, Gag Factor, Guttermouths, Kelly the Coed, Perverted Stories and The Violation of ... lesbian series.

In 2004, Powers formed his own production studio called Powersville. The venture has proved successful and two successful series have resulted: Filthy Things and School Girls. He continues to shoot movies for JM Productions, Sin City and other adult studios as well. His latest private label productions are The Animal, Bound and Little Runaway #02, "A punk rock love story."

Niya Yu Interview (March 2008)

This telephone interview with Asian adult star Niya Yu was recorded on March 26, 2008.

At the time of the interview, Niya had been involved in the adult industry for about a year and during that time performed in approximately fifty scenes, evenly split between Internet content and and traditional DVDs. Niya isn't afraid be nasty on camera and has quickly become a fan favorite. She was the voted the winner of the "Shooting Star Award" in the 2008 APH Awards. To date, she is probably best known for her scorching performace in The Gangbang Girl #37. In that scene Niya and co-star Maya Hills took on fifteen guys and fully satisifed them every way imaginable. Asian porno hottie fans voted Niya's scene in The Gangbang Girl the best scene of 2007!

This interview is about two hours long and covers a wide range of topics. Everything from Niya's background and experiences in the adult industry to cooking and her investment strategies are discussed. It's probably best to "direct download" this Podcast and listen to it in several sittings. It would also be great on a long car trip! Sativa Rose Interview (April 2005)

This is an interview with Latina porn star Sativa Rose. It was recorded on the set of Barely 18 #19 on April 30, 2005 shortly after Sativa finished a BGG three-way with Courtney Simpson and Dick Nasty. The shoot took place at Sin City's studio in Chatsworth, CA.

At the time of this recording, Sativa had been involved in adult entertainment for about one year and five months during which she shot over 100 scenes. Now, three years later, Sativa is still working in porn and the number of scenes she has appeared in has more than tripled making her one of the most prolific Latina performers ever. At the time of this post, her DVD scenes alone number 321.

Lyla Lei Interview (March 2005)

This is a rare interview with Asian porn star Lyla Lei. It was recorded on a rainy day in March of 2005 in Glendale, California on the set of Mayhem/Sin City's Two in the Can.

In this leisurely and candid conversation, Lyla talks about her background, good and bad experiences in the adult industry, personal life and plans for the future.

After shooting over 250 (mostly hardcore gonzo anal) scenes over a period of five years, this past October Lyla suddenly announced her intention to leave the adult industry. Through her MySpace blog she told fans that she wished to pursue mainstream acting and/or modeling and was retiring her adult screen name. She now goes by "Terri."

I was lucky to spot her at all as she was appearing at a small novelty booth in the low key "Business 2 Business" section. That part of the Expo is located on the floor below the main convention and is easy to miss. Although at the time Jazmine had been working in the adult industry for about a year, this was her very first interview!

Haley Paige (1981-2007)

Haley Paige passed away on August 21, 2007 in King City, California. She was 26 years old. At the time of this post, the cause of death was still under investigation.

This interview was recorded on August 19, 2004 in Topanga Canyon, California on the set of Sin City's Teen Dreams #01. It was to be my first and only conversation with Haley. Despite our short time together, she made a favorable impression on me. I found Haley to be a genuinely nice, open and down to earth person. The news of her death saddens me and I hope that she is at peace.

This is an interview with Asian starlet Tia Ling. It was recorded at the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas in January, 2007. Tia was not appearing at a booth, so we recorded it in the Press Room.

Tia starting appearing in adult movies in 2006 after working as a dancer in the Midwest for a few years. She has not relocated to porn valley, so she only shoots scenes for (outside) adult studios occasionally as a "commuter girl." Although she isn't the most prolific APH, Tia's nasty scenes are memorable to porn fans and they look forward to a new batch of raincoater smut each time she makes the trip to California.

I recorded this interview for raincoatreviews.com with porn star Gia Jordan in Los Angeles at the 2006 LA Erotica Show on Saturday 06.24.06. Gia was appearing at the WantedList.com to meet and greet fans. We did this interview at the booth in the evening about an hour before the close of the show that night. The crowds were pretty thin by this time.

Since entering the jizz biz in 2003, Gia has appeared in well over 100 XXX titles. Many of her performances are of hardcore gonzo variety and feature nasty acts such as anal and dp. Her frequent (and friendly) participation on porn forums around the web have made her a fan favorite.
